What is Splashlife?

Sign a petition, register a friend to vote, or find a volunteer opportunity near you. You’ll earn points for it all – and you’ll help build something incredible. Not ready to take the dive? No problem — just hang out, make some new friends, take advantage of the deals, and tip-toe on in when you're ready.

What do I get?
You get a place where your voice will be heard and your influence will be felt. With Splashlife, you stand in good company — your peers are the visionaries, the entrepreneurs, and the thought leaders of a rising generation. You’ll also receive the economic, practical, and social benefits of membership. Benefits like premium content that actually applies to your life, exclusive membership deals to save — and get cash back — on everything from plane tickets to laptops, and a point system designed to grow your decision-making power within the Splashlife community.

What will Splashlife do for me in the future?
Eventually, you’ll have access to bigger and better deals, more cash back, and other member benefits like banking products and healthcare. You’ll get invited to Splashlife concerts, forums, and election events, and you’ll have a chance to win a grant from the Splashlife Member Fund to help finance a new business, brilliant invention, voluntourism trip, or anything else you can dream up. Basically, if you’re reading this now, you’re standing on the ground floor of something extraordinary.

What are SplashPoints?
SplashPoints are the currency here at Splashlife. You earn them for doing good things, and then use them to get other good things.

What kinds of “other good things” can I get with my SplashPoints?
Money, for starters. The more Points you have, the more money you'll get when you take advantage of our Member Deals. You'll also get more influence within the Splashlife universe. Soon, you'll be able to use your Points to vote on awards and grants for Splashlife members.

But what do I have to do exactly?
For starters, join! When you join Splashlife you'll get 1,000 points automatically. That puts you in the Bronze Circle.

Okay, what does that mean?
As you earn SplashPoints you'll move to different circles in the Splashlife leadership. A thousand points gets you to the Bronze Circle. When you earn 10,000 Points, you’ll move to the Silver Circle, 40,000 Points gets you to the Gold Circle, and 100,000 gets you to the Platinum Circle. As you move to new Circles you’ll get even more cash back.

Are there easy ways to earn Points?
You can earn 25 SplashPoints each time you comment on Splashlife content, up to 10 comments per day. If there's an article or video you really like, share it on your Facebook page and you'll earn 5 points every time one of your friends clicks on it. You can also invite friends to Splashlife — every time one of your friends joins, you'll get 500 points.

How can I earn Points by volunteering?
You can use the Take Action widget to find volunteer opportunities all over the world. If you already know where you want to volunteer, that works too. Just snap a photo of yourself in action, send it to volunteer@splashlife.com, and you'll get 2,500 points. You can submit up to one volunteer action per day.

Do I earn Points for contributing money to non-profits?
You sure do. You can use the Take Action widget to find causes you care about, for every dollar you donate, you'll get 100 Points.

How about for contacting my elected officials?
Yep, that too. Use the Take Action widget to contact policymakers. You'll earn 1,000 Points for each verified contact, up to 10 contacts per day.

Can I contribute content to Splashlife?
You sure can. We're always looking for articles, videos, and photo essays. You'll earn 2,500 Points for every valid piece you submit, and 10,000 Points if we publish it. Be sure to check our Contributor Guidelines to see what we're looking for.

What if I enter a contest?
When you enter a Splashlife contest, you can win anywhere from 500-10,000 Points — and even more if you win.

Can I earn Points for doing other things?
Sure! If you’ve done something positive that improves your life, your community or the world that’s not covered here, tell us about it at points@splashlife.com.

Do Points ever expire?
Yes, each SplashPoint lives for 12 months, so to stay in your Member Circle, you’ll have to continue earning Points.

What are Member Deals?
We've worked out special deals with hundreds of brands so that you can save dough and make some cash when you buy clothes, airline tickets and more. Every time you take advantage of a Member Deal, Splashlife will give you cash back.

Why would you give me cash? What's the catch?
Deals are for members only, so if you're using them, you're an active part of the Splashlife universe. We figure the more we invest in you, the more you can invest in yourself, your community and the world.

Yeah, that makes sense, so how do I get more cash?
The more active you are on Splashlife, the more cash you'll get.

When do I see the cash appear in my Splashlife account?
After you use a Member Deal, you'll usually see the cash appear in your account page within 3-5 days. With some merchants, it can be as long as 3 months, so be patient.

When do I get the cash?
You’ll get the cash once you've accrued $20 and the return window for your purchase has passed (usually 60 days).

That seems like a long time, what if I forget about my cash?
Don't worry, we'll send an email when your cash is ready and you can let us know how you'd prefer to be paid.

Can you put the cash in my PayPal account?
Yes, you can choose to have cash credited to your PayPal account or debit card, or we can send you a good old-fashioned check.

I want to buy something and I don’t see a Member Deal for it, what can I do?
Give us a shout at deals@splashlife.com and let us know what deals you’d like to see. We'll get on it.
