Splashlife, Inc. Privacy Policy

Applies to all Splashlife, Inc. web, mobile and other properties, including but not limited to www.splashlife.com

At Splashlife, Inc. (“Splashlife”, “we”, “us” or “our”), we appreciate your membership and value your personal privacy. We respect the personal nature of the information you provide us and acknowledge the importance of protecting this information. This Privacy Policy is intended to inform you of our policies and practices regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of any personal information you submit to us through the Splashlife website.  This Privacy Policy is incorporated into and is subject to the Splashlife User Agreement, and your use of the Splashlife website and any personal information you provide on the Splashlife website remains subject to the terms of this Privacy Policy and our User Agreement. This Privacy Policy may be revised or updated by us at any time, so we encourage you to check back often to ensure you are familiar with the most recent version.

Collection of Information

When you register with Splashlife, we collect certain “personal information” such as your name, date of birth, email address, and other facts about yourself you may choose to provide. After you register, we keep track of your participation in Splashlife activities and member services.  Splashlife uses your personal information to improve your membership experience by fulfilling your requests for certain services, personalizing the content and promotional messages you see on our pages, and telling you about special offers and new products and services.  Additionally, as we continue to negotiate great deals for our members, we will use the information you provide to help us determine the types of deals we think Splashlife members will find most appealing.

We also collect other information that is anonymous and in no way identifies you personally. This “non-personal information” includes, by way of example, information of the sort browsers automatically make available, such as IP addresses, domain servers, and the types of browsers accessing the website. By gathering this information, we can learn, among other things, how many people visit Splashlife, which Splashlife pages are the most and least popular, and which other websites are the most frequent referral sources for Splashlife. We use this information to help us evaluate how Splashlife is being used so that we can continually improve our site to best meet the needs of our members.

Some of the pages on our website may use pixel tags (also called clear gifs) to collect non-personal information about how you navigate or use the Splashlife website. This information is anonymous, and it is used to evaluate and enhance how the site functions. Additionally, pixel tags enable us to send email messages in a readable format and to track whether an email has been opened. We also use cookies (which are files or pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive) primarily to recognize return visitors and make the Splashlife experience more convenient. While most browsers are initially set up to accept cookies, you can set your browser not to accept cookies or to alert you when cookies are being sent.  However, please note that refusal of cookies may result in an inability to visit certain areas of the Splashlife website or to receive personalized information when you visit the site.

Finally, Splashlife may use third parties for various purposes, such as analytics and advertising, for the pages we host.  These third parties may also use cookies and/or other means to collect non-personal information in order to deliver relevant metrics, content, and advertising. These third parties do not collect any personal information from members on the Splashlife website, and they do not share the non-personal information collected on the Splashlife website with anyone else for any other purpose.

Use of Information

Because it is anonymous and does not personally identify you, we may use non-personal information for any purpose.  If you provide us with personal information, then we use your personal information to help us develop, deliver, and improve our programs, products, services, content, and advertising.

Sharing of Information

Since it is anonymous and does not personally identify you, we may disclose non-personal information to third parties for any purpose.  For example, we may share non-personal information (such as anonymous traffic data) with strategic third parties to assist them in understanding the usage patterns for certain content, services, promotions and/or functionality on the Splashlife website.

Because Splashlife takes very seriously our responsibility to keep personal information confidential and private, we share your personal information only with companies and non-profit entities we have selected to provide official Splashlife member services or benefits or to support Splashlife operations. Our contracts with these companies require them to keep the member information strictly confidential, and allow them to use the information only to offer the contracted services or benefits to Splashlife and Splashlife members. We may also share your personal information with your express or implied consent; for example, using  a third party web client to access your Splashlife account constitutes your implied consent upon which we can rely. We will never sell or rent any of our members’ personal information to telemarketers or mailing list brokers that are not offering Splashlife-endorsed services or benefits.

Please note that we reserve the right to release personal member information on the rare occasions when we are required to do so by law, or when necessary or appropriate to comply with legal process or to protect or defend Splashlife and its members. In order to maintain a healthy community, we also reserve the right, but have no obligation, to disclose any information that you submit to the services if we suspect or have reason to suspect that the information involves a party who may be the victim of abuse in any form. Additionally, in the event Splashlife is involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or sale of assets, your information may disclosed and transferred as part of that transaction.  However, the provisions of this Privacy Policy will apply to your information as transferred to the new entity.

Finally, please be aware that any information you submit to areas of the Splashlife website that can be viewed by others (whether or not a password was required to access them) may be redistributed through the Internet and other media channels, and may be viewed by the general public. We encourage you to be careful and responsible when choosing to disclose any personal information online.

Protection of Personal Information

Splashlife treats data as an asset that must be protected against loss and unauthorized access. We host your data in a professionally managed, secure facility. We use industry standard physical, technical, and managerial safeguards to preserve the integrity and security of the information under our control. However, since “perfect security” does not exist on the Internet, we cannot guarantee the security of information you transmit to Splashlife and therefore accept no liability for any unintentional disclosure.

Third Party Links

Our provision of a link to any other website or location is for your convenience and does not signify our endorsement of such other website or location or its contents. We have no control over, do not review, and cannot be responsible for, these other websites or their content. Since Splashlife does not control the privacy policy of any third party, you should familiarize yourself with the privacy policies of these other websites before sharing any information with them.

If you are under 13 years of age, please do not use or access the Splashlife website at any time or in any manner. For more information on how to protect children’s privacy, please visit the U.S. Federal Trade Commission’s Kidzprivacy page, accessible via www.ftc.gov .

Change of Control

If Splashlife becomes involved in a merger, acquisition, or any form of sale of some or all of its assets, we will provide notice via the website before users are subject to a different Privacy Policy.

Additionally, you may review, correct, or delete your personal information at any time by simply logging into your account, going to your account profile, and making the desired changes. We may delete your personal information, and/or may retain logs, demographic and statistical information about you and keep an archival copy of your information. If your personal information was previously accessed by others using the Sites, please note that we are unable to delete the information from their systems. Also note that any media files uploaded to the Splashlife website cannot be removed and remain subject to our User Agreement.  Please contact Splashlife with any questions or comments about this Privacy Policy, your personal information, or your consent, by contacting us by e-mail at privacy@splashlife.com.
